Unlucky 13, well, not really. Although I did almost forget about this particular piece!
I read the instructions, and they seemed to be a bit “bassackwards”, so I modified them to fit my skills. I cut out piece number 43. The instructions wanted me to sequin and applique it into place, but I realized I have lot to sew to it. So I set it aside.
Then I cut out piece 44 and set it aside. Then I cut out the leaf numbered 45, embroidered and sequined it.
Then pinned it in place.
Then, lather, rinse and repeat for the next three leaves, 46, 47 & 48.
Next, I appliqued the leaves into place. Then Appliqued the red piece to the gold piece.
FInally, I appliqued the whole thing to the stocking.
Looks good to me!
