The Sugar Plum Fairy

by Jaded on August 18, 2010

Upon finishing my sons’ stocking, I realized how much I enjoyed making it. And the dear hubs saw how happy it made me to sit in the evenings and sew while watching tv. He suggested I order a few more and make them as Christmas Gifts.

And me being me, and not very hard to persuade, did just that.

I found a few kits I liked and ordered them. After I ordered them, I read that one I purchased was going to be a monster. Once I opened it and had that overwhelming feeling take over. I got a grip and dug in.

The Sugar Plum Fairy, turned out to in fact not be a monster, not particularly difficult, and had lots and lots of pink! Being mom of 2 boys, I rarely see pink, this was a welcome change!

It took 22 days from start to almost complete. I was going to wait until complete to post this blog, but my persistent sewing buddy R, has been bugging me for a pic. I decided to indulge her. Here are the “nearly finished” pictures!
